The launch of KONTRAST is coming closer and we are more than half-way through the Mini-Mix Series #1 which has been really exciting so far. For the 3rd episode we have Sundelin, a Sweden born and Melbourne based DJ, music blogger and producer who knows how to deliver a dynamic and organic underground sound. During her DJ career she has evolved her style into a dark, groovy tech sound mixed with a good dose of fun and pulsing basslines. Since she arrived in Melbourne she has been playing at iconic venues like Lounge, Brown Alley, Killing Time, My Aeon, The Carlton and The Railway Hotel, and supported artists like KiNK, Spencer Parker, Steve Bug, Stimming, Robert Babicz, MOSCA and Ben Pearce.
The best part of waking up is?
Knowing that I have a whole new day ahead of me with possibilities, and the hope that it will become a great one. (I know it sounds super cliché but it’s true!).
If you join the circus, what would you perform?
I loved to watch the circus when I was a kid and on TV you always found these amazing acrobats swinging around in the air on rings or doing other cool tricks. I’d love to be as strong and flexible as them!
Which celebrity do you get mistaken for?
The pop-star Robyn from Sweden, most likely because I also have short blond hair like her. It’s not a bad thing to be mistaken for her though; she’s an amazing singer and music producer and one of my top idols! But I really don’t think we look that similar and I find it funny.
Dive into this techno mini-mix by Sundelin that starts off with a gem released a month ago from local techno heroine Chiara Kickdrum. She has also hidden an unreleased original track called ‘Unconstrained Management’ in there as a teaser on what sound she is working on at the moment.
1. Chiara Kickdrum – Matter
2. Formation – Hangin (Ghost Culture Remix)
3. Jimmy Edgar – Burn
4. Schmutz – Prima Nocte
5. Sundelin – Unconstrained Management
6. Petter B feat. John H & M.E.E.O – Bergsjön Eternal
7. Daniel Avery – Naive Response (Danny Daze Remix)
8. Monika Kruse – Summer Drops (Nicole Moudaber Remix)
