In an Australian first, local Melbourne crew 6am at the Garage will be curating ‘Projections of Dance’, a series of electronic dance music cinema to screen at St. Kilda’s legendary Astor Theatre. Split over several 3 month calendars, the series will focus on movies and documentaries which celebrate electronic music culture, its origins and main players, at a very affordable price of $15 per ticket. Doors will open early at 9:15 for punters to come and enjoy drinks, socialise and listen to some of Melbourne’s best DJ’s to ease you into a 10PM screening.

First up is one of the scene’s most revered films: Berlin Calling. Starring superstar DJ and producer Paul Kalkbrenner, this German movie was a global festival hit when it was released in 2008 – and this will be the first Australian screening of this cult movie outside of festival theatres.

October 20, 10:00pm – Berlin Calling
November 24, 10:00pm – Shut Up And Play The Hits
December 15, 10:00pm – Eden
