You’ve been promoting for a while now, but only DJing in recent times. Tell us about that transition.
From running my first event I really started to pay attention to what was happening around me, I spent a lot of time listening to different local artists. It gave me some insight into electronic music which really started to drive me to look further into it. The transition was pretty intense actually I felt like there was a lot to learn and it kept on becoming a bigger wormhole. Playing in front of a crowd made it all really rewarding, I cant wait to keep going. I’m really grateful for everyone around that has given me some insight and it’s great to have that support.
Favourite moment in the Melbourne underground music scene?
Heaps actually! I’m really loving Melbourne at the moment, there is so much going on all the time and it’s hard to choose where to go. I have a number of favourites; Rainbow Serpent this year was really great and the Market stage was nuts! Babylon Festival was a great experience too – especially the inflatable church! In Melbourne specifically it was really awesome to go to Elrow as well, it was a really colourful immersive experience it was really hard not to have a good time.
What was your first most impactful music memory?
Every time Oxia – Domino is played (like at Rainbow this year). That song gets me every time.
